Will the alarm still function if I sleep/lock the device?
Yes. The alarm will still function as expected while the device screen has been locked, as long as you do not exit the app prior to locking the screen.
Will the alarm still function if I exit the app by pressing the home button
As with all iPad apps, the app must be running for the alarm feature to function. When iOS 4 is released for iPad we intend to implement a new feature called local notifications which if turned on will alert you when you are outside of the app.
